Squash refers to the fruit of the squash plant. The environmental impact information on this page includes greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions that result from the materials, production, packaging, and transport life cycle stages. The environmental impact information for squash was obtained from four global warming potential (GWP) values published in three life cycle assessment (LCA) studies. The GWP values for squash had a median of 0.21 kg CO2e. These GWP ranged from 0.09 to 1.17 and had a standard deviation of 0.5.
