Paper towels are an absorbent towel made from paper. This article is a comparison of the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions (carbon footprints) of various paper towel products. The paper towel products listed in WikiFootprints have GHG emissions of about 0.01 kg carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) per sheet. Composting the Tesco brand kitchen towels can reduce the per towel footprint by 3 grams.[1]
